Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Arab Travellers On Camels At An Outlook by Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,455.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Pompeii towards Mount Vesuvius with an artist by the easel in the foreground, which sold at auction in March this year for DKK 65,000.00 (€ 8,722.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arab Travellers On Camels At An Outlook von Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.455,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Holger Hvitfeldt Jerichau mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of Pompeii towards Mount Vesuvius with an artist by the easel in the foreground beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für DKK 65.000,00 (€ 8.722,87) versteigert wurde.
