Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm held the auction Northern Light - the Artists' Colony at Skagen, which included the work Sailingboats reflected in the canals of Venice by Holger Drachmann. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 11,000.00 (€ 1,473.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Holger Drachmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coastal view from Skagen with the “Det grå fyr” (The grey lighthouse) in September this year with an auction result of DKK 70,000.00 (€ 9,384.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen in Stockholm die Auktion Northern Light - the Artists' Colony at Skagen durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailingboats reflected in the canals of Venice von Holger Drachmann zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 11.000,00 (€ 1.473,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Holger Drachmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Coastal view from Skagen with the “Det grå fyr” (The grey lighthouse) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 70.000,00 (€ 9.384,92).
