Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work At a stone fence with a woman and a man by Holger Drachmann was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 5,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 3,400.00 (€ 456.45). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Holger Drachmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coastal view from Skagen with the “Det grå fyr” (The grey lighthouse) in September this year with an auction result of DKK 70,000.00 (€ 9,384.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit At a stone fence with a woman and a man von Holger Drachmann im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 5.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 3.400,00 (€ 456,45) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Holger Drachmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coastal view from Skagen with the “Det grå fyr” (The grey lighthouse) im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 70.000,00 (€ 9.384,92).
