This artwork by Ho Huu Thu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Woman sold for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,891.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ho Huu Thu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Women sold at auction in February last year with the realized price of HKD 60,480.00 (€ 6,891.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ho Huu Thu erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Woman für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.891,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ho Huu Thu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two Women im Februar letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 60.480,00 (€ 6.891,83).
