The work Football by Hisashi Tenmyouya was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. It achieved a price of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hisashi Tenmyouya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Japanese Spirit No. 14, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 3,127,500.00 (€ 257,476.06).
