Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction Oriental Paintings and Prints, which included the work a woodblock print by Hirano Hakuho. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 564.00 (€ 894.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hirano Hakuho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Showa Era (1926-1989), 1932 in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 25,075.00 (€ 22,332.56).
