In October 2014 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction The Modern Sale, which included the work Mother and child by Hilma af Klint. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 48,000.00 (€ 5,175.42), 60% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hilma af Klint - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Syrener" (Lilacs), which sold at auction in December 2020 for SEK 200,000.00 (€ 19,918.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion The Modern Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother and child von Hilma af Klint zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 48.000,00 (€ 5.175,42) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hilma af Klint mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Syrener" (Lilacs) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für SEK 200.000,00 (€ 19.918,23) versteigert wurde.
