This artwork by Hieronymus Francken II achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2012. In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work An Interior Scene With Elegant Figures At A Wedding sold for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 61,363.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hieronymus Francken II have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Collector'S Cabinet in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 532,905.34).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Hieronymus Francken II erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings wurde die Arbeit An Interior Scene With Elegant Figures At A Wedding für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 61.363,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hieronymus Francken II auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Collector'S Cabinet im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 532.905,34).
