Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2014 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work A Violinist Taking Snuff by Hermann Kern. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,569.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hermann Kern - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Lock Maker, which sold at auction in April 2007 for EUR 12,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Violinist Taking Snuff von Hermann Kern zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.569,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hermann Kern mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Lock Maker beobachtet, die im April 2007 für EUR 12.000,00 versteigert wurde.
