Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Old Masterand British Pictures, which included the work Roses, Tulips, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase On A Stone Ledge, With Partly-Peeled Lemon, A Snail And Other Insects by Herman van der Mijn. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,300.00 (€ 22,055.06), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herman van der Mijn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tamar, which sold at auction in January 2009 for USD 86,500.00 (€ 67,557.01).

Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masterand British Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses, Tulips, Lilies, An Iris And Other Flowers In A Porcelain Vase On A Stone Ledge, With Partly-Peeled Lemon, A Snail And Other Insects von Herman van der Mijn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.300,00 (€ 22.055,06) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Herman van der Mijn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tamar beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für USD 86.500,00 (€ 67.557,01) versteigert wurde.
