Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Oaklands, Autumn Trees At The Edge Of A Field by Hercules Brabazon Brabazon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 750.00 (€ 902.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hercules Brabazon Brabazon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice From The Lagoon, With The Doge'S Palace, And The Campanile, Italy in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,577.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Oaklands, Autumn Trees At The Edge Of A Field von Hercules Brabazon Brabazon zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 902,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hercules Brabazon Brabazon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice From The Lagoon, With The Doge'S Palace, And The Campanile, Italy im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.577,71).
