The work Herr und Hund (Master and Dog), Portofino, Italy, 1936 by Herbert List was worth EUR 23,940.00 to a buyer in November this year. This price was achieved in the auction Photographies & Lothar Schirmer's Glamour Collection at Christies in Sydney and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Herbert List; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Goldfish Bowl' sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of EUR 25,000.00.
