Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Shire horses on a track; and Horses before a stable by Henry William Standing was sold in the Sporting Art and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 999.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Henry William Standing have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2002 the work Shire horses in a stable was auctioned for GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,726.59).
