A top price for Henry Walton
In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Early British Paintings, which included the work The Young Angler by Henry Walton. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 46,850.00 (€ 53,160.71), 56% above the upper estimate. This high result makes The Young Angler the most expensive artwork by Henry Walton that we have observed at auctions so far.
