Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Varnum Poor could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Miners (Mural Study For Land Grant Frescoes) changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,965.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Varnum Poor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poppies, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,574.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Varnum Poor konnte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Varnum Poor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poppies beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.574,94) versteigert wurde.
