Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Study for the background of 'Found' by Dante Gabriel Rossetti by Henry Treffry Dunn. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,639.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Treffry Dunn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl With A Psaltery, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,367.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for the background of 'Found' by Dante Gabriel Rossetti von Henry Treffry Dunn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.639,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Treffry Dunn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl With A Psaltery beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.367,08) versteigert wurde.
