Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Studies from a hunt by Henry Thomas Alken, Sen. for GBP 375.00 (€ 502.70). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Thomas Alken, Sen. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Meet On The Highway; A Meet On A Byway; On To The Road; And Crossing Paths in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 43,769.22).
