Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work '"Sunrise" Clipper Ship Crusader' by Henry Scott. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,846.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Scott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The jute clipper Star of Greece at sea in the gathering dusk in February 2006 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 30,188.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit '"Sunrise" Clipper Ship Crusader' von Henry Scott zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.846,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Scott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The jute clipper Star of Greece at sea in the gathering dusk im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 30.188,68).
