Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Trading Schooner Sailing Down The River (Illustrated); And Herding The Flock, Mid-Winter by Henry Robertson, A.R.E. was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 263.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Robertson, A.R.E. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Incomplete Album of Watercolours, The Majority Landscape Subjects Including: Harwich; Shades of Evening; Ipswich; River Orwell; Tonbridge; Hastings; Littlehampton And Others, Some Inscribed And One Dated 1894 in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,810.65).

Als die Arbeit A Trading Schooner Sailing Down The River (Illustrated); And Herding The Flock, Mid-Winter von Henry Robertson, A.R.E. im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 180,00 (€ 263,50) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Robertson, A.R.E. erzielen.
