In the Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Portrait Of George Morland When A Young Man (At An Easel) changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 5,953.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Robert Morland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Laundry Maidengraved: Philip Dawe (See. J.C. Smith, British Mezzotinto Portraits, 1884, Vol. I, P. 158, No. 22). in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 110,500.00 (€ 79,668.35).
