Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work Shipping in a stiff breeze off the entrance to the harbour at Scarborough by Henry Redmore. The price achieved of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,079.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Redmore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishing Boats On A Stormy Sea Off Whitby in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,742.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shipping in a stiff breeze off the entrance to the harbour at Scarborough von Henry Redmore zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.079,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Redmore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishing Boats On A Stormy Sea Off Whitby im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.742,81).
