Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a lady, said to be Susannah Stott, half-length, in a black dress and white shawl and bonnet by Henry Pickering for USD 1,762.50 (€ 1,959.86). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Pickering achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Sir Wolstan Dixie, 4Th Bt. (1701-1767), Of Bosworth Hall, Leicestershire, And His Family, Seated Around A Harpsichord in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 223,250.00 (€ 258,969.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, said to be Susannah Stott, half-length, in a black dress and white shawl and bonnet von Henry Pickering für USD 1.762,50 (€ 1.959,86) erwerben. (1701-1767), Of Bosworth Hall, Leicestershire, And His Family, Seated Around A Harpsichord im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 223.250,00 (€ 258.969,33).
