Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La place du Châtelet by Henry Malfroy was auctioned at Christies in Paris in September 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 875.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Malfroy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue De Venise in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 16,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La place du Châtelet von Henry Malfroy im September 2020 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 875,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Malfroy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue De Venise im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.800,00.
