Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work French a Lady At Her Toilette by Henry Lerolle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,165.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Henry Lerolle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work À L'Orgue in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 54,628.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French a Lady At Her Toilette von Henry Lerolle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.165,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Lerolle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit À L'Orgue im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 54.628,09).
