Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Swimming by Henry Korda. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,943.86), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Korda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mo and Me swimming, which sold at auction in February 2006 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,001.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Swimming von Henry Korda zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.943,86) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Korda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mo and Me swimming beobachtet, die im Februar 2006 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.001,91) versteigert wurde.
