Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rural courtship by Henry John Yeend King was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,295.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry John Yeend King achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Haymaking in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 47,000.00 (€ 74,500.79).
