Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Howard could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PAINTINGS auction, the work Sunset on the Civetta, Italian Tyrol changed hands for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,767.02) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Howard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hylas Carried Off By Nymphs in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,735.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Howard konnte im Januar 2001 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PAINTINGS wechselte die Arbeit Sunset on the Civetta, Italian Tyrol für GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.767,02) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.800,00 – 2.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Howard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hylas Carried Off By Nymphs im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.735,94).
