Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Hylas Carried Off By Nymphs by Henry Howard. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,587.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Henry Howard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2015 the work Hylas Carried Off By Nymphs was auctioned for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,735.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hylas Carried Off By Nymphs von Henry Howard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.587,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Henry Howard konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2015 die Arbeit Hylas Carried Off By Nymphs für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.735,94) versteigert.
