Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Hadfield Cubley could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work The oncoming storm changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 460.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Hadfield Cubley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lane near Dovedale in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,824.00 (€ 5,737.41).
