Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Highland Drovers Resting by Henry Hadfield Cubley for GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,879.77). This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH & VICTORIAN PICTURES at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Henry Hadfield Cubley have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2004 by the work A lane near Dovedale at GBP 3,824.00 (€ 5,737.41).
