The work Seated Figure by Henry Cliffe was sold in the 20th Century British and Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in September 2006. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,655.38), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Cliffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Green And Red in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,038.34).
