Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art, which included the work Afternoon by Henry Cliffe. The price achieved of GBP 720.00 (€ 1,062.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Cliffe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Green And Red in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 16,038.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Afternoon von Henry Cliffe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 720,00 (€ 1.062,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Cliffe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Green And Red im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 16.038,34).
