Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS, which included the work Camarque; A herdsman on horseba... by Henry Cleenewerck. The price achieved of NLG 2,340.00 (€ 1,078.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Cleenewerck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Cuban Landscape With Drovers And Cattle Fording A Stream in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 48,839.76).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 2.340,00 (€ 1.078,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
