Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations, which included the work Windmills along a canal in winter by Henry Cassiers. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,125.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Henry Cassiers have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2002 the work A view of a canal in Venice was auctioned for EUR 5,377.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windmills along a canal in winter von Henry Cassiers zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.125,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Henry Cassiers konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2002 die Arbeit A view of a canal in Venice für EUR 5.377,50 versteigert.
