This artwork by Henry Burch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2003. In the Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures auction, the work A young lady, in white dress with ruffled collar, yellow sash, yellow straw bonnet adorned with elaborate white ribbon and bow and tied under her chin in a bow sold for GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,739.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Burch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Miss Helen Grant, As A Child, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 7,750.00 (€ 9,880.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Burch erzielte im Dezember 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures wurde die Arbeit A young lady, in white dress with ruffled collar, yellow sash, yellow straw bonnet adorned with elaborate white ribbon and bow and tied under her chin in a bow für GBP 3.346,00 (€ 4.739,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Burch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Miss Helen Grant, As A Child beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 7.750,00 (€ 9.880,15) versteigert wurde.
