In the Important Gold Boxes,Objects of Vertu & Portrait Miniatures auction, the work A young lady, in white dress with ruffled collar, yellow sash, yellow straw bonnet adorned with elaborate white ribbon and bow and tied under her chin in a bow sold for GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,739.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Burch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Miss Helen Grant, As A Child, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 7,750.00 (€ 9,880.15).
