Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Figures Disembarking From A Carriage In A French Village by Henry Bright for GBP 179.25 (€ 261.14). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Bright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scene In The Scottish Highlands, Afternoon Effect in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,518.46).
