This artwork by Henry Bright achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2014. In the A Green and Pleasant Land: Two Centuries of British Landscape Painting auction, the work Approaching Storm In A Wooded Landscape sold for GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,460.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Bright achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scene In The Scottish Highlands, Afternoon Effect in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 20,400.00 (€ 29,518.46).
