Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henry Andrew Harper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2003. In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Sea of Tiberias, from Gadara (illustrated); and View of Sinai, Egypt sold for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,519.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Andrew Harper; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Arabs before Baalbek, the Lebanon sold at auction in May 2012 with the realized price of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,049.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Andrew Harper erzielte im Januar 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
