Upper estimate price exceeded by 32 %.
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady, Head And Shoulders Wearing A Grey Hat by Henri-Pierre Danloux. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,767.60), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri-Pierre Danloux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lum A'Kao in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 572,000.00 (€ 515,640.49).
