Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Boy, Traditionally Identified As Master Hugh Grant, Bust-Length by Henri-Pierre Danloux was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,120.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri-Pierre Danloux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lum A'Kao in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 572,000.00 (€ 515,640.49).
