Auction result well in line with expectations
In February last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Scène De Combat Près D'Une Ville Incendiée, Probablement D'Après Philips Wouwerman by Henri Leys. The price achieved of EUR 1,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Leys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mary of Burgundy distributing alms in July last year with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,186.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scène De Combat Près D'Une Ville Incendiée, Probablement D'Après Philips Wouwerman von Henri Leys zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Leys erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mary of Burgundy distributing alms im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 60.186,55).
