This artwork by Henri Jules Pauwels achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2005. In the MARITIME PICTURES auction, the work Bustling Activity In The Harbour At Antwerp sold for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,322.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henri Jules Pauwels; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Traffic On The River At Rotterdam sold at auction in November 2005 with the realized price of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,939.25).
