Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS, which included the work Bustling Activity In The Harbour At Antwerp by Henri Jules Pauwels. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 622.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Jules Pauwels - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Traffic On The River At Rotterdam, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,939.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion MARITIME PICTURES AND WATERCOLOURS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bustling Activity In The Harbour At Antwerp von Henri Jules Pauwels zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 622,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Jules Pauwels mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Traffic On The River At Rotterdam beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.939,25) versteigert wurde.
