It achieved a price of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 49,689.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henri-Jules-Jean Geoffroy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot French La Joie Des Petits sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,622.96).
