Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale, which included the work French Le Consigné by Henri-Jules-Jean Geoffroy. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,300.00 (€ 25,822.49). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri-Jules-Jean Geoffroy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French La Joie Des Petits, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,622.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Le Consigné von Henri-Jules-Jean Geoffroy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.300,00 (€ 25.822,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri-Jules-Jean Geoffroy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit French La Joie Des Petits beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.622,96) versteigert wurde.
