Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2020. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Bird Pluming Itself sold for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,505.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homme Et Cheval in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 290,810.61).
