Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original, which included the work Les connaisseurs by Henry Bonaventure Monnier. The price achieved of GBP 262.90 (€ 397.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Bonaventure Monnier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Connoisseurs, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 812.50 (€ 973.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les connaisseurs von Henry Bonaventure Monnier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 262,90 (€ 397,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 400,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Bonaventure Monnier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Connoisseurs beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 812,50 (€ 973,08) versteigert wurde.
