Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henk Melgers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Workers in a corn field, corn sheaves in the foreground, which sold at auction in September 2005 for EUR 6,000.00.

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Henk Melgers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Workers in a corn field, corn sheaves in the foreground beobachtet, die im September 2005 für EUR 6.000,00 versteigert wurde.
