Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A wooded landscape with a city beyond by Hendrik Pieter Koekkoek. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,080.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrik Pieter Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elegant ladies strolling in the country in October 2005 with an auction result of EUR 12,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a city beyond von Hendrik Pieter Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.080,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Pieter Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Elegant ladies strolling in the country im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.000,00.
