the twelve calendar sheets, 1943, printed in colours, on cream wove paper, each sheet inscribed in pencil 'Jan.-Dec. '44', and stamped 'Henkels' (on the reverse), from the edition of 1 + 20, the sheets loose, only somewhat timestained, with minor handling nicks and very minor surface dirt, otherwise in very good condition

Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Kalender 1944 - Calendar 1944 (Dekkers/Van der Spek/De Vries G-240) by Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2010. The auction ended at the price of EUR 6,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vrouweneiland XXII (Martinet Hot Printing 42-80) in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Kalender 1944 - Calendar 1944 (Dekkers/Van der Spek/De Vries G-240) von Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 6.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrik Nicolaas Werkman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vrouweneiland XXII (Martinet Hot Printing 42-80) im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
